Reading in fundamental

A 7th-grade student at Sandy Grove Middle School was awarded a book from the book vending machine for their personal library from Dr. Spells.

Other students can complete the choice board at their school and earn up to four FREE books a school year for their personal library. The book vending machine is part of the F.R.E.S.H. (Facilitating Reading for Every Student in Hoke) Reads grant.

Thank you again, Dr. Spells and Dr. Bowden, for encouraging reading to our students!

Cognia Accrediation Survey

Pather Family,

Our district, Hoke County Schools, values input from our families. You are an important partner as we work to continually improve our academic programs, communication, school culture, and overall experience for students and their families. We would like you to complete a Cognia survey so we can gather your feedback. Our school district is accredited through Cognia, so the surveys provide Cognia and our district with in-depth knowledge to help us reach accreditation. You may complete the survey on your smartphone or computer. All responses are anonymous. Surveys take 15-30 minutes to complete.

Clear Backpacks for the 2024-2025 School Year

As part of our ongoing efforts to prioritize the safety and security of our schools, Hoke County Schools (HCS) is implementing additional protocols and procedures for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.  We know it takes a team effort of our staff, students, and parents working together to provide the safest environment possible. One of the new safety protocols is the requirement that all students who choose to carry a backpack must use a clear backpack, starting this upcoming school year.
